About Us

Although the youth entrepreneurial intent has increased over the years (GEM, 2019), there is still a challenge of little to no support for developing youth entrepreneurial venture ideas / start-ups into machines that drive a measurable socio-economic impact, for example employment creation. This then presented an opportunity for the establishment of the Young African Entrepreneurs Institute (herein referred to as YAEI).

(YAEI) is a registered youth-led non-profit company that aims to empower the youth with practical skills, organized knowledge, and proactive support to successfully transition from venture ideas to venture startups driving measurable socio-economic impact. YAEI focuses on both the people and the enterprise, using a team approach and the VI-VS-VI venture transitional development model to provide support at each stage of their client’s growth.

The company uses a consolidated ecosystem for youth entrepreneurship development, partnering with educational institutions, the private sector, NGOs, and the government to provide the necessary skills and resources for youth to succeed in their entrepreneurship journey.
