Annual Youth Entrepreneurship Tour
The Youth Entrepreneurship Tour (YET) aims to extend entrepreneurship development support across South Africa and Africa at large, particularly in the township and rural communities. In addition, the tour seeks to showcase youth-owned ventures by providing a platform for young entrepreneurs to tell their stories about their entrepreneurial journeys through the Proudly African Youth Podcast. The podcast is a product of the YAEI Proudly African Communications
company.
To ensure the impact on the young entrepreneurs post the tour, YAEI enrolls 300 entrepreneurs in the Youth Entrepreneurship Skills Initiative through the Entrepreneurship Skills and Research Centre (ESRC). ESRC was established to build multi-level learning channels and competencies for the participants by integrating various knowledge and value systems. The skills program seeks to improve Entrepreneurial Competence through entrepreneurial knowledge for the individuals to learn a set of skills that:
- Helping Entrepreneurs run their businesses effectively.
- Encourage entrepreneurs to feel knowledgeable & competent thereby prompting them to start businesses.
